Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. Her childhood was spent listening to classic Boleros from the past as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other theatrical performances. She started singing and studying songs with her mother she began her more intensive vocal training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition in the present.
